Ingredients
For the Bread:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped (about 2 medium apples)
For the Cinnamon-Sugar Swirl:
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze (Optional):
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan (or line it with parchment paper).
Step 2: Make the Bread Batter
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the sugar, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped apples.
Step 3: Make the Cinnamon-Sugar Swirl

Step 4: Assemble the Bread
- Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
- Add the remaining bread batter, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cinnamon-sugar into the batter for a marbled effect.
Step 5: Bake the Bread
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil for the last 10-15 minutes.

Step 6: Make the Glaze (Optional)
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the bread has cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top for extra sweetness.
