Flaky, buttery croissants stuffed with savory ham and melted cheese—ready in just 15 minutes!

These ham and cheese croissants are quick to make and perfect for meal prep. You can serve them warm from the oven or pack them for a picnic or lunchbox. Whether you’re serving them for breakfast, brunch, or a party, they’ll disappear fast!

🛒 Ingredients (Makes 6 croissants)

  • Croissant dough (store-bought or homemade) – 6 large croissants (or 1 package of pre-made dough)
  • Sliced deli ham – 6 slices (about 120g total)
  • Cheddar cheese – 6 slices (about 90g total)
  • Butter (melted) – 2 tbsp (30g)
  • Mustard (optional) – 1 tbsp (15g) (for a tangy twist)
  • Fresh parsley (optional) – 1 tbsp, chopped (for garnish)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

2. Assemble the Croissants

Cut each croissant in half lengthwise (if they’re not already pre-split).
Spread a small amount of mustard (if using) on the inside of each croissant.
Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each croissant.

3. Bake the Croissants

Place the top half of the croissant back on and lightly press down.
Brush the tops with melted butter for a golden, crispy finish.
Place on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese has melted.

4. Serve

Garnish with chopped parsley for an added pop of color, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

🍽️ Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with a side of salad or soup for a complete meal.
  • Pair with pickles or chips for a tasty lunch combo.
  • Make a party platter: Cut into smaller pieces for appetizers at your next gathering.

🌟 Tips & Variations

  • Swap the ham: Try turkey, chicken, or salami for a different flavor.
  • Cheese options: Use Swiss, Gruyère, or Mozzarella for a different cheese profile.
  • Make it spicy: Add a slice of jalapeño or a drizzle of sriracha for a kick.
  • Freezing: Assemble the croissants and freeze them before baking for a quick meal later. Simply bake from frozen and add a few extra minutes.
