BBQ sausage bites kids favorite party snack sticky glazed easy appetizer recipe

If you need a party snack that kids will lose their minds over — make these BBQ Sausage Bites! Three ingredients, 20 minutes, and I guarantee the platter will be empty before any adult gets more than two. We make these for every birthday party, game night, and holiday gathering. They’re the snack everyone always asks about!

Why Kids Love These

  • Sweet, sticky BBQ sauce that clings to every bite
  • Fun to eat with toothpicks
  • Ready in 20 minutes
  • Kids can help stir the sauce
  • Works for any occasion — parties, game nights, weeknights

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs smoked kielbasa sausage, sliced into coins
  • 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet, 2–3 min per side.
  2. Add the sauce over the sausage.
  3. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring, until thick and sticky.
  4. Serve hot with toothpicks — watch them disappear!

Mom Tip: Make these in the slow cooker for parties! Dump everything in, cook on HIGH for 1.5–2 hours, and serve directly from the crockpot. It stays warm all party long — zero babysitting required.

Storage

  • Fridge: 5 days in sauce
  • Reheat in microwave — kids can do this themselves!

FAQs

What if I can’t find kielbasa?

Any pre-cooked smoked sausage works — hot dogs cut into coins, cocktail smokies, or beef smoked sausage. Cocktail smokies don’t even need slicing and are a huge hit with kids!
