For the Bread:

  • 1ยฝ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon baking soda
  • ยผ teaspoon salt
  • ยฝ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 oz (ยฝ cup) cream cheese, softened
  • ยผ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:
    Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9ร—5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Filling:
    In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon flour until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Bread Batter:
    In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla extract and sour cream.
