This Candy Cane Fudge is a festive treat with a creamy white chocolate base and crunchy candy cane pieces. Easy to make and perfect for gifting, it’s a holiday favorite that looks as good as it tastes!
Ingredients
- 3 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- ½ cup crushed candy canes (plus extra for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Flavoring:
- Remove from heat and stir in the peppermint extract and crushed candy canes. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Pour and Spread:
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle additional crushed candy canes on top for garnish, pressing them lightly into the surface.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
- Cut and Serve:
- Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper. Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
- Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- For a chocolate swirl, melt ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and drizzle over the top before chilling.
- This recipe doubles easily if making for a crowd! Use a 9×13-inch pan instead.
