These Chai Spice Cookies bring the cozy flavors of chai tea into a soft, chewy cookie. Infused with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves, they’re perfect for the holidays or any time you crave a spiced treat.
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda

- Preheat Oven:

- Mix Dry Ingredients:

- Cream Butter and Sugars:
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Shape the Cookies:
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. If desired, roll the dough balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake:
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are soft. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
