A classic pecan pie with tender pecans, a flaky crust, and a rich, gooey brown sugar filling—perfect for the holidays! Made without corn syrup, this recipe uses honey and maple syrup for a natural sweetness.
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs (132g)
- ½ cup dark brown sugar (110g), loosely packed
- ⅓ cup honey (113g)
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup (107.33g)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (56.75g), melted
- 2 tbsp bourbon whiskey (optional, 30g)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (4g)
- 1 tsp kosher salt (6g)
- 1 ½ cups pecan pieces (163.5g)
- ½ batch Perfect Pie Crust from Scratch (85g), prepared and chilled
- ⅓ cup pecan halves (43g), for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, melted butter, bourbon (if using), vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in the pecan pieces, then pour the filling into the prepared pie shell.
- Garnish the top with pecan halves and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.
- Let the pie cool for at least 1 hour before slicing.
