Instructions
- Prepare a Baking Sheet:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.
- Form the Candies:
- In a medium bowl, mix the Cool Whip and powdered sugar together until a soft dough forms. The mixture will be sticky.
- Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Place in the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler.
- Dip the Candies:
- Using a fork or candy dipping tool, dip each frozen candy ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Place back on the parchment-lined sheet.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the candies for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- Add flavor variations by mixing a teaspoon of vanilla, almond, or peppermint extract into the Cool Whip mixture.
- Decorate with sprinkles, crushed nuts, or a drizzle of white chocolate before the chocolate hardens.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
