Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Make the Dough:
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Form the Cookies:
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake:
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the bottoms are lightly golden. Do not overbake; the cookies should remain soft.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
