  • 4 cups chicken broth (960 ml)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade mix)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ยผ cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Toppings (optional): shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, avocado slices, tortilla chips, jalapeรฑos


Instructions

  1. Cook chicken: Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook 4โ€“5 minutes per side until lightly browned. Remove and set aside (they will finish cooking in the soup).
