- 1 tbsp butter
For the Cream Cheese Sauce:
- 4 oz (½ block) cream cheese (softened)
- ¾ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream (or milk for a lighter option)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare & Cook the Chicken
- Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Sauce
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
- Add cream cheese, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
Step 3: Combine & Serve
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
