Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for topping if desired.
  5. Layer the Fudge: Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the hot fudge sauce over the batter and swirl gently with a knife. Add the remaining batter and drizzle the rest of the hot fudge sauce on top, swirling again.
  6. Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (avoid overbaking).
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with additional hot fudge before serving, if desired.
