Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 1/3 cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for topping if desired.
- Layer with Hot Fudge: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the hot fudge sauce over the batter and swirl gently with a knife. Add the remaining batter on top, then drizzle the remaining hot fudge sauce and swirl again.
- Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). Avoid overbaking to keep the bread fudgy.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve with extra hot fudge drizzle or a scoop of ice cream.
