- 225g cream cheese, softened
- 300g chocolate (milk, dark, or white, for coating)
Optional Toppings:
- Crushed Nutter Butter cookies
- Peanut butter drizzle
- Chopped peanuts
- Sprinkles
Instructions
Step 1: Crush the Nutter Butter Cookies
1️⃣ Place the Nutter Butter cookies in a food processor and blend until they form fine crumbs.
(No food processor? Place cookies in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin!)
Step 2: Make the Truffle Mixture
2️⃣ In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese.
3️⃣ Mix until fully combined and smooth. The mixture should be dough-like.
Step 3: Shape the Truffles
4️⃣ Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5️⃣ Freeze for 20-30 minutes to firm up.
Step 4: Melt the Chocolate
6️⃣ While the truffles are chilling, melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth. (Alternatively, melt using a double boiler!)
Step 5: Dip & Decorate
7️⃣ Using a fork or toothpick, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, coating it completely.
8️⃣ Place the truffles back on the parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with crushed cookies, peanuts, or drizzle with peanut butter before the chocolate sets.
Step 6: Chill & Enjoy!
9️⃣ Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
🔟 Enjoy your rich, peanut buttery truffles!
(Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week!)
