Oreo Mug Cake Recipe

This indulgent Oreo Mug Cake is a quick, chocolatey treat that’s ready in under five minutes! With a surprise Oreo center and rich flavor, it’s the perfect dessert for when you’re craving something sweet and easy.

Ingredients:

  • 5 original Oreos
  • ¼ cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • 1 tablespoon caster/superfine sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug (350 mL / 12.5 oz capacity or larger), mash 4 Oreos with the milk until the Oreos dissolve into the milk.
  2. Add the sugar, flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder, and stir well until fully combined.
  3. Press the remaining Oreo into the center of the batter and cover it with the mixture.
  4. Microwave on full power for 1 minute (based on a 1100-watt microwave) or until there is no raw batter left.
  5. Let it cool slightly before enjoying the warm, chocolatey goodness!

Notes:

  • Storage: Best enjoyed immediately. Not recommended to store leftovers.
  • Substitutions: You can use non-dairy milk like soy milk, and regular white sugar instead of caster sugar.
  • Tips: Avoid overcooking the cake—1 minute is typically perfect! Ensure the Oreo and milk are mixed well to avoid a rubbery texture.
