These Pizza Burgers combine two all-time favorites: juicy burgers and cheesy pizza. With melty mozzarella, marinara sauce, and your favorite pizza toppings, they’re an irresistible meal for the whole family!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend preferred)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
- 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, sautéed mushrooms, sliced olives, or bell peppers
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. - Cook the Patties:
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness. - Add the Cheese:
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty and cover the pan with a lid to allow the cheese to melt. - Toast the Buns:
While the patties cook, lightly toast the hamburger buns under a broiler or in a toaster oven for 1-2 minutes. - Assemble the Burgers:
Spread a generous layer of marinara or pizza sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the burger patty on top, then add additional toppings like pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms, or olives if desired. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and add the top bun. - Serve:
