This Salmon Marinade is the perfect blend of citrus, garlic, and herbs to bring out the natural flavors of the fish. Whether you’re grilling, baking, or pan-searing, this marinade will add incredible flavor to your salmon in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Mix the Marinade
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
2. Marinate the Salmon
- Place your salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag.
- Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is well-coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes. If marinating for longer, be sure not to exceed 2 hours to avoid the fish becoming too soft.
3. Cook the Salmon
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and cook as desired: grill, pan-sear, or bake.
- For grilling, preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook for about 4-6 minutes per side.
- For baking, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
