Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

    • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Marinate the Salmon:
    • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring all fillets are evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes.
  3. Cook the Salmon:
    • Preheat your grill, skillet, or oven to medium heat (about 375°F).
    • Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade.
    • Grill or cook the salmon for 6–8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.
  4. Serve:
    • Transfer the salmon to a serving plate. Garnish with lemon slices or fresh herbs, if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can marinate for up to 2 hours, but avoid over-marinating as the acid can break down the fish.
  • Try swapping honey with maple syrup for a different flavor twist.
  • Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking to avoid overcooking.
